Moon jellyfish, Aurelia Aurita. These are tank raised specimens produced in captivity. The roundish bell is 5 to 6 inches in diameter with scalloped edges and a distinctive cluster of four round packets within the center of the bell. Pale white in color. The circular packets are actually the gut where food is digested. The outer scalloped edges have a rim of fine tentacles, called Fringe Tentacles, which capture food items and pass it to the longer central tentacles, called Oral Arms. The bell is divided into eight sections and it is what pulses through the water.
Note that these are cold water jellyfish and require 60 degree (F) water temperature. Additionally, jellyfish do require a specialized tank, not a regular aquarium.

These Moon jellyfish are packed in full bags of water, placed inside an insulated styrofoam container, along with Ice Paks to maintain the 60 degree water temperature, and shipped in a cardboard outer shipping box.
